After analyzing the situation of local commerce where the project is located, it was concluded that due to the de-densification of the municipality and the recent implementation of large commercial areas, the profitability of small businesses had dropped considerably, causing many of the premises to have been closed for a long time.

At the same time, the current housing supply in the municipality does not meet its demand, since it was planned to cover the needs of nearly 50 years ago, which are not the same as current needs.

After analyzing these two problems, a strategy was developed to transform them into an opportunity. The opportunity is based on renovating abandoned commercial premises by transforming them into one-bedroom housing. The housing is adapted for people with reduced mobility, so it covers a very important need in the municipality, which has a very high percentage of elderly people who are not accessible.
